This is under construction and I will remove this sentence once it is edited and more information is added.

For this site after reading a few eBooks and looking at a few blogs I decided to use the HostGator web hosting baby plan and I am also using the Thesis theme. Plugins help make your site more user friendly and search engine friendly. I know there are many sites out there that use hundreds of plugins. This site does not have that many currently. Additionally, too many plugins could cause your site to slow down as they need updates from time to time. Now, it seems to me I have to learn to use many of the free plugins I have currently installed.

Below are the plugins I have actively installed on this site:

  1. Akismet
    1. helps fight spam, has a paid version and a free version, if you make over $500/month from your blog you might be required to pay

  12. Max Banner Ads
    1. I had some issues with finding the plugin after I installed it such as finding it under tools and then as a widget under appearance. However, these were quickly resolved using the Wiki Max Press Blog and this was definitely something I could not have done without the help of the plugin and it was free. I would definitely recommend using this plugin. Once you figure out a few minor issues it is very easy to use and you do not have to deal with any codes.
